Being saved on a grand piano in the Atlantic Ocean during a world war is almost as unbelievable as the war, but it seems that it both Happened as do many unbelievable war stories. On the bright side, it moves along quickly and I was able to read good chunks of the book in short periods of time. 1242 Parcels of Land (with original landowner names and patent-dates labeled in the relevant map) 15 Cemeteries plus . Explores the first settlements that were formed in America, discussing the explorers that made them possible and the reasons for the colonization. I like the hardcover but it looks like it is from a library. A fantastic work with a steadily paced, organic plot sporting a litany of colorful characters. Eb's quirky traits just seem so middle-aged here. Occasionally, people laud over certain people because they produce a lot as opposed to producing productive work. This is a book that can be enjoyed over and over again, and will be remembered long after the last page is read and the lights turned out.
