The h is very likable and loving. The book is connected to many different parts of the story that link together, and you have to have to remember other previous events for somethings to make sense. He created some amazingly memorable characters (David, Steinmetz, Galileo, the Jesuit, Emily, etc. The movie, while very good, does not capture the stunning events thatthis author recounts so masterfully.
